Just a quick note: I hope everyone had an awesome holiday! Mine was great. Hubby was home since Christmas and started back to work today. :( I miss him so much! See my previous post about where I’ve been! I will be posting reviews so stay tuned. :)
Here’s what I got the last few weeks!
Christmas Gifts
Fallen by Lauren Kate |
Swoon by Nina Malkin |
Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld |
Feed by M.T. Anderson |
Impossible by Nancy Werlin |
A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb |
All of these I requested (all but 1 came from hubby!) and I can’t wait to read them all!
I’m currently reading Fallen. It’s not as good as I was hoping it to be. It’s rather slow and anti-climatic.
I also got a ton of necklaces! My favorite is this one:
It was purchased at The Well Dressed Reader, which has some awesome book lover jewelry!
Contest Prizes
Truly, Madly: A Novel by Heather Webber |
I won this via a Goodreads giveaway. I devoured this in a short amount of time. It was very good! I have a second copy and will hold a contest after I post my review.
My Life in Pink & Green by Lisa Greenwald |
I won this on the 2K10 blog for the graduation of the 2K9 class! Thanks guys!
Close To Perfect by Tina Donahue |
This beauty was won over at I Do Not Want to Wait, I Want The Book Now. It’s signed and looks delicious!
For Review
Shadow by Jenny Moss |
In a time of kings, queens, and conspiracy, it's impossible to know whom one can trust. . . .
In a kingdom far away and long ago, it was prophesied at her birth that the queen would die before her sixteenth birthday. So Shadow, an orphan girl the same age as the young queen, was given the duty to watch her every move. And as prophesies do tend to come true, the queen is poisoned days before her birthday. When the castle is thrown into chaos, Shadow escapes with a young knight, whom she believes was betrothed to the queen.
Unsure of why she is following Sir Kenway, but determined to escape as far as possible from the castle, her long-time prison, Shadow sets off on an adventure with the handsome knight who has been charged with protecting her. As mystery builds, and romantic tension does, too, Shadow begins to wonder what her role in the kingdom truly is. Soon, she learns, it is up to her to save her land.
Jenny Moss's novel is a lyrical, fast-paced adventure filled with mystery, magic, honor, and romance that will lead readers on an incredible journey.
So that’s what I’ve received! I can’t wait to read all of these!

Nice loot. Hope you enjoy them all! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on your upcoming reviews!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't wait to read Fallen and was so disappointed. I recently finished Impossible too. Need was ok, thought it would be a bit better--it was better than Fallen! I liked Beautiful Creatures. Can't wait to see all your reviews!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading Dead Girl's Dance (Morganville Vampires book 2), Tempted (House of Night) and Eternal. Yes, I'm reading on all 3 at once. I bought the Morganville book but my library has an AWESOME YA section and I picked up several I was planning on buying.
I got Swoon for Christmas too! :)
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Fallen. I hate when that happens. It happened with The Dark Divine for me.
LOVE the necklace! Where did whoever gave it to you get it?????
whoa! You got a ton of awesome books for Christmas! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteSweet! You made out :)
ReplyDeleteI love that necklace! Enjoy your new books.
