Midnight Rising (The Midnight Breed, Book 4) by Lara Adrian

This is the second book of this second book of this series that I've read. I should probably go back and read the first 2 books of this series.

This was a great book! I loved the romance story in this book. Rio who's a damaged man who is having a hard time getting beyond the death of his deceiving dead wife. He's holed himself up in a large cave on the side of a foreign land and in walks Dylan, who's on a vacation for her dying mother, because she saw a dead ghost lady who lead her to the cave where Rio is holed up.

It was a great story with lots of awesome details. The thought that Lara put into this story amazed me. Not only were the characters awesome but everything just wrapped together nicely.

  1. This was my least favorite book in her series and I was waiting to hear what you thought about it before I said anything. For me, it was just missing something that the other books had. It was a let down for me even though it wasn't a bad book. I think I will re-read at some point and see if I change my opinion.

I enjoy reading your reviews and I am so glad I found your blog as we have similar taste in reading material. Thanks!

  2. Leigh Ann,
I agree. It wasn't that great. Overall she's just an okay writer to me. I'd much rather read Kresley Cole or Gena Showalter's books.

Glad to see you keep coming back!
    I love having groupies!
