Teaser Tuesday: Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater

Teaser Tuesday

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Ballad

I cupped my hands around the back of her neck like I’d imagined doing one thousand times. Her skin was warm against my palms, sticky with the heat, smelling of flowers and shampoo.

Check out a second teaser for Ballad from Maggie's blog today! It's a contest! :)

Ballad is the second installment by Maggie Stiefvater. The first book, Lament, was good and I reviewed it.

I’m on page 222 right now. It’s very good. Love learning more about James. His ego is enormous and it’s too funny! Oh, and I’m hating Dee in this book. I didn’t think that was possible but, yeah.

What are you reading?

  1. "Out of them, crawling on hands and knees, climbing, jumping from place to place, helping one another, small, dark figures had appeard, now silhouetted shaprly agains the high, wind-whipped flames, now visible against the black shadow of mangled debris, now emerging again from the smoke and groping their way toward the end of the bridge. That there looked to be thousands of them and that they seemed insectlike is understandable enought; but evidence is that, at most, perhaps 500 to 600 people were driven into the burning heap, and thought eexact figures were never settled on, it is likely that all but 80 of them managed to escape."

  5. Great teaser. I already knew I wanted to read Ballad, but knowing other people are reading it already is making me even more impatient. Can't wait for this one!

  7. Awesome tease! I loved James and I can't wait to read from his POV. And, I didn't think it was possible, but you've piqued my interest even more with this talk of hating Dee. I wonder why...
